Our family found ourselves in a position of having to find residential care for my father, as a result of a hospital stay. After being in the hospital for five days, we were told by hospital staff that they would not release our father until an antiquate care facility was identified. This is when an Angel named Shelly came into our lives! We would have never known how to even start to look for a suitable place for our father.
I called Shelly and I explained our situation. She went to the hospital to meet with me and my family. After talking to us about our father and what we wanted for him, she got right to work. Within an hour of leaving us, she had set up appointments to tour four facilities for the following day, and three facilities on Saturday. She knew exactly which questions to ask the facilities, which helped us tremendously, as we had no idea what to ask. After touring each facility, she asked us questions and she respected our answers without trying to steer us in a particular direction. We were able to find a facility on our second day, making her happy as well as our family. This showed us a sign of respect!
We felt very comfortable working with her. She has even called to ask how my father is doing! We now feel as if she is a part of our family! I would highly recommend Shelly to any family looking to place a loved one in a care facility.

Finding the right care home for a parent is probably one of the most challenging tasks that a family member will encounter. I could not imagine getting through his ordeal without the expert guidance of Life Options for seniors. We had an emergency situation, which required the immediate transitioning of our mother from the hospital to an assisted living facility.

I just wanted to let you know how much Kristen Messer helped us in finding a placement for our dad. To begin with, she had a sparkling personality and is very comfortable to be with. She is knowledgeable and very efficient. When she said she would get back to us with information, it often came sooner than she had promised. When a family is in the process of making such a big decision, having someone follow through with their promises promptly is invaluable. It seemed like with every question we had (and we had many!) that she had an answer or suggestion, or she’d make a phone call to get one to relay to us. When I first talked to you, I was so upset and so worried about my father and after talking to you for just a few minutes I felt completely at peace.
